IMAGINING the possibilities of future LANDSCAPES
Is it conceivable that humanity, at a certain point in time, will cease to exist?
For artists, Emma van Amerongen, Anika Hochstenbach, Annette Kombrink, Beatrice Pittman and Eylem Aladogan (Master), the inspiration and fascination lies not so much in the question whether humanity will ever become obsolete, but in the ability to imagine what kind of world we would be faced with then.
What forms of life will continue to exist? In which ways does the past resonate in this time to come? Or, more fundamentally – will nature survive human existence?
